KARVE is a women-only Transformer Pilates studio at Midtown Plaza on Prince Sultan Road, Ar Rawdah, Jeddah. The main studio holds twelve Transformers, with a four-machine studio and a two-machine private training room alongside it. Lights stay low and the music stays up for the full fifty minutes. Off the studio floor sit the KARVE Club — café, workspace and stretch room — along with changing rooms, a prayer room and lockers. Open Saturday to Thursday, 7:30am to 8:00pm.

The main studio

Twelve Transformers, with room around each one. A full class is twelve women — one to a machine, never a crowd.

The small studio

Four Transformers, for smaller sessions. KARVE BEGINNERS runs here, away from the main floor. It shares its machines with the private room, so a class here can be set for a few more or a few less.

The private room

Two Transformers, for one-to-one training and pairs — the room the small studio borrows from when a beginners class fills.

What the room is like

The light
Low from the moment you walk in, and low for the full fifty minutes.
The sound
Music high, and part of the class — the pace of the playlist is the pace of the sequence.
The scale
Twelve machines. Your instructor can see every one of you, and you can hear her without a microphone.
The team
Women throughout — instructors, reception, the floor. Every class on the schedule.

The Club, for the rest of the day

The class is fifty minutes. The Club is what you stay for: specialty coffee and matcha from The Prickly Palm, a workspace built for actual work, and a stretch room for afterwards.

Everything else, handled

  • Changing rooms with showers, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and hair dryers
  • Fresh towels and lockers, both complimentary
  • A prayer room on site
  • Parking at Midtown Plaza

Finding us

Midtown Plaza, Prince Sultan Road, Ar Rawdah, Jeddah 23435. Saturday to Thursday, 7:30am to 8:00pm; closed Friday. Come ten minutes before your first class — grip socks are required on the Transformer and are available at the studio.

Three full classes for SAR 600, first-timers only, valid fourteen days. Your instructor will walk you through the machine before anyone starts moving.
